Endeavour announces Executive Director

Endeavour’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce Jennifer Pitcher as its first Executive Director, beginning September 1st, 2022.

“The Board is thrilled to welcome Jennifer Pitcher in this new role as Executive Director. Jennifer is a positive and energetic leader. Her operational excellence combined with her practical approach to problem-solving, passion for youth development and leveraging resources to help young people have earned her the esteem of Endeavour’s Board, staff as well as donors and community partners,” said Endeavour Board Chair Tom Miller. 

Mr. Miller added, “Jennifer’s collaborative leadership style, enthusiasm for Endeavour’s work, and proven record of programme design will help to further advance the mission of the organisation. She has the full support of the Endeavour Board to carry out this important role and the Board is confident that Endeavour will be well-positioned under her leadership to thrive in the years to come.” 

Ms. Pitcher has worked for Endeavour since its inception in 2015, and has remained dedicated to Endeavour’s mission and vision toward delivering positive outcomes for Bermuda’s youth through Endeavour’s experiential learning programmes. Her initial involvement helped to establish Endeavour’s programmes as part of her role as Community Outreach Manager during the 35th America’s Cup. Over the last five years as Endeavour’s Community Engagement, Development and Partnerships Manager she has led programme design and curriculum development to build a strong foundation for Endeavour’s programmatic work and has established positive partnerships with education and community partners including donors to ensure sustainability and long-term success.

Ms. Pitcher is an accomplished nonprofit executive with two decades of success in leadership roles focused on youth development and community engagement initiatives. She has worked in Bermuda’s nonprofit sector since 2011 with extensive experience in leadership, strategy, public relations, programme management and community engagement. In her new role, she will report directly to the Board of Directors and will lead the overall strategic, operational, financial, and managerial responsibilities for Endeavour. 

“I am very proud to be part of this amazing organisation and honoured to work with a dedicated team that is making a meaningful difference in young lives across Bermuda every day,” said Jennifer Pitcher. “I look forward to deepening Endeavour’s strategic partnerships and continuing to build on this incredible legacy which has already contributed so much to our community through the collective impact that is benefiting our Island’s young people.”

Ms. Pitcher has a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in International Development from the University of Guelph. She completed the Nonprofit Leadership Development Programme achieving a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Wisconsin and also achieved a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Duke University in 2019 with support from the Bermuda Community Foundation.
